Welcome

Deborah welcoming you in
Village Book Shop, serving Glendora since the mid-1950s, offers visitors a relaxing hometown shopping experience enhanced by 21st Century savvy.
Our focus is on old-fashioned, hard-to-find service. We make it a point to keep current with new releases, popular titles, and best sellers for teens, young adults, and adults.
We carry local authors, local history, and local interest books. We support local, independent businesses and are members of the 3/50 Project (choose 3 local stores you want to see stay in business and spend $50 a month in them).
Students and teachers receive a 20 percent discount at Village Book Shop on assigned reading for classes. If we don’t have the book, we can order it for delivery within five days.
We also feature hundreds of DVDs for sale. Bring in your old DVDs, video games, audio books, anything of a digital entertainment nature for trade in or to sell back. If you don’t see what you want, we’ll order it for you. We’ll even clean your scratched DVDs/CDs to make them play just like new.
The Village Book Shop has become a cultural center for Glendora Village with its varied activities that include book-signings, theater presentations, workshops, and more. Click on the Schedule of Events tab for what’s happening this month, and be sure to download our handy-dandy Calendar.
Share your love of books with fellow bibliophiles at any of our popular book clubs – the General Book Club, the SciFi Book Club or the Murder Mystery Book Club – each meeting monthly.
Have time to browse? Come on in and browse away. Once you find the book you seek, sit down in one of the comfy chairs in our “living room” and lose yourself in its pages.
No extra time? Call or e-mail (Villagebookshop1@aol.com) we’ll have your order ready for pick up in a few days, we’ll deliver it, or we’ll mail it.
Multi-tasking? Let us order books on tape or CDs. We’re your one-source shop for all your book needs.
